Glaze Recipes - Low Fire  
Mary Humphrey’s Raku Glazes from Michigan Mud 2005
 
All of these glazes mature around cone 06-08, but Mary uses a “visual melt.” Please test these yourself, and always use all safety measures. All recipes are measured by weight unless otherwise noted as “parts by volume.”
 
Copper Sand
Gerstley Borate 8 parts by volume
Bone Ash 2 parts
Copper Carb 1/2 part
Cobalt oxide 1/4 part
   
Raku Clear
Gerstley Borate 80
Custer Feldspar 20
     
Lizard Skin
Borax 8.4

Lithium Carb 12.6
Magnesium Carb 3.4
Neph Sy 16.8
Copper Carb 3

(Use on bisque like a glaze)
