Michigan Mud 2011

Michigan Mud is a conference offered every 2 years by the Michigan Ceramic Art Association. This year's conference included demonstrations and lectures by many Michigan ceramic artists. Our featured keynote speaker was Robert Piepenburg.
Over 200 clay enthusiasts attended the Conference co-sponsored by Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Visit the Gallery One Presenters Exhibition at WCC through October 28, 2011.
Professional clay artists, hobbyists, ceramic department faculty and students from schools throughout Michigan all enjoyed the two days of clay presentations and lectures, and gave the conference rave reviews.
MCAA President, John Leyland presented a donation of $500.00 to Wendy Lawson, Association Vice-President of the WCC Foundation. The WCC Foundation supports WCC students through scholarships and other philanthropic support
The Juried Student Show included 49 entries from 17 Colleges.
